The Home Buying Process: Step #10

This is the final post of ten in a series about the home buying process.  The purpose of this series is to educate the reader on different steps in the process to ease any anxiety of the unknown.  Whether you are a first-time buyer or have purchased in the past, it is always advantageous to be up-to-date with the latest news and information to make your path to home ownership as smooth as possible.

The process of buying a home is, at times, exhausting.  You now have the key in your hand to your new home, but there is still a ton of work left to do.  The best news is that you are in control of the work, not a bank, lender, seller, or anyone else that could possibly keep you from your dream home.

Moving 'stuff' is fairly straight forward.  Hire a moving company if you have too much to handle or are under certain time constraints.  This post is about the things that are not 'stuff' related.  Many people get their new home and then think solely about moving 'stuff' in, and never stop to think about the little details that are involved in a move.  Below is a checklist taken from the Keller Williams Buyer's Guide of contacts you should make before you move.  The companies and service providers listed are contacts that may not be urgent needs, but will help you to become more familiar with your new community.
