Hunters Ridge Subdivision of Gahanna


The Hunters Ridge Subdivision of Gahanna is one of the hottest real estate markets in Gahanna.  A heavy percentage of the homes sold in the last 3 months have sold in the first month in which they have been listed.  Hunters ridge is a unique area in that it is made up of over 900 homes.  Homes were built in two general phases.  The first phase was in the mid to late 1970's which began the growth of the Southeast part of Gahanna.  In this part of Hunters Ridge you'll primarily find traditional two-story homes with approximately 1800 - 2000 sq ft, and split-level homes with 3 or 4 bedrooms that offer upwards of 1600 sq ft.  The second phase began in the late 1980's and took off in the early 90's.  This part of the subdivision is characterized by large two-story homes that begin to show more modern elements such as larger master bathrooms, vaulted ceilings, and first floor laundry rooms.

Creekside Gahanna Area Homes

There are a number of subdivisions that define the Creekside Gahanna area.  I typically refer to this area as Gahanna Heights, but only because Gahanna Heights is the biggest groups of homes near Creekside.  This area in Downtown Gahanna is made up primarily of homes built prior to 1970 that range in price from the $140,000 range up to the low $200,000's.

You can find many styles of homes to buy near Creekside.  Split-levels are the most common, but cape cods, ranches, and two-story homes are plentiful.  Living in the Creekside area puts you right in the heart of Gahanna.  As far as location goes, you have easy access to 670, 270, Stoneridge, Easton, the Airport, and multiple schools.  Residents of Gahanna Heights can walk to restaurants in Creekside and the newest attractions that have been built along Hamilton Rd near Clark Hall.

Hunters Ridge Home For Sale: 339 Schyler Way

My newest listing in Gahanna is the newest Hunters Ridge home for sale:  339 Schyler Way.  The home is one of the most unique homes in Hunters Ridge.  The tax records will show 2901 sq ft of space, but this home has unaccounted for square footage that pushes is well over 3000 sq ft.  The previous owner added onto the original structure, and then the current owner added on again.  You will not believe the amount of space compared to your typical 4-level split.

Gahanna's Royal Manor subdivision is primarily composed of bi-level and ranch style homes.  The majority of the homes in the subdivision contain either 3 or 4 bedrooms and have 1 or 1.5 baths.  Homes in royal manor were built in the early to mid 1960's with a few added on in the early 70's.

Gahanna a Seller's Market?!

For anyone that has been following the housing market in Gahanna, you know that we show many characteristics of a "seller's market."  The inventory is low, homes are selling quickly, and multiple offer situations are not uncommon.

Just as Jay Papasan says in the video below put together by KWRI, it is important to get information quickly if you want to be active in the market.  I would guess that over half of the calls that I get about properties are in regards to a property that is listed on a website, but is already under contract.  This is because of the delay in syncing the local MLS with the big national websites.  I like to call this phenomenon "the leftovers."  Just like leftovers in the refrigerator from a nice, hot, fresh meal the night before in which everyone ate the food at the peak of its tastiness... homes that are available on these national websites aren't hot and fresh because the hot and fresh deals are picked through by the buyers that have already been alerted by their Realtor.

If you find yourself inching towards the time in which you are ready to buy, make sure you aren't looking at the leftovers.  Let me work for you to find the hot and fresh deals, it is necessary in today's market!
